About Me

Since I was about 13, I have felt a strong call to do full time ministry…..now I am on a mission to pursue that call God has put on my life, hence the reason for the name of my blog…Heather on a Mission. I  graduated in May 2008 from Trinity International University in Deerfield, Illinois with a major in Christian Ministries with an emphasis in Intercultural Studies and a minor in Biblical Studies.  God is so good and faithful. My heart’s to desire is to glorify Him in all that I say and do, so that others may also see his goodness.

    HI heather.
I finally got a chance to look at you blog. I appreciate the email updates but now that I know your blog I can go there. I will be praying for you as you journey through the rest of the year. I sure can relate to how hard it will be to leave your friends. I too college 5 hours away and had to depend on my friends as my family. I just have to say that those friends will be with you forever. My friends that I had in Iowa have been there for me even now. They even called me when dad died. So I know that they are always there for me. So if that helps. I know it will be hard but hang in there You’ll may never find a close of a friend as the ones in college but you will find friend you can count on and talk to when you need them. So now that all the advice I have if you want to call it that. So Good Luck!!! Melanie Teachout .

Heather – congratulations on your graduation. I have enjoyed keeping up with you on your blog. I appreciate your transparency about both your struggles and joy. Doug and I would be interested in catching up with you sometime this summer while you are in MN to hear more about what God is calling you to and how you are thinking of responding. God is never short on good ideas for our lives… Congratulations Kathy

  6. Hi Heather! It was great meeting a fellow (Nav) laborer–“When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”–Matthew 9:36-38. Its encouraging to learn of your work and I will be praying for you sister. Let me know how I can partner with you! I would love for you to see what God is doing down here in Englewood…Jesus speaks the truth–laborers are FEW! 🙂
